The tallest structure in all of Mexico, the Torre Mayor Tower combines impressive architectural design with state-of-the-art technology and construction materials. Isolatek International, the industry’s only single-source provider, with its complete line of CAFCO® fire protection products, satisfied every demand required for this high profile project.

Products:
CAFCO® SprayFilm® was applied to round structural-steel columns supporting decorative spandrel beams in the atrium portion of the building. These columns are exposed to view and subjected to foot traffic. Not only did CAFCO SprayFilm satisfy the hourly fire resistance rating requirements in this area, its superior durability and aesthetics ensured maximum in-place performance.

CAFCO® BLAZE-SHIELD® II protects structural-steel columns, beams, and decking in areas where a commercial-density Spray-Applied Fire Resistive Material (SFRM) was specified. Of importance is the ability of BLAZE-SHIELD II to withstand exterior weathering conditions throughout the building’s construction. This was especially critical as perimeter beams and columns remained exposed to the elements during the building’s construction. BLAZE-SHIELD II excelled in this environment.

CAFCO® BLAZE-SHIELD® HP is a cement-based, medium-density SFRM that was selected for application to structural-steel beams, columns, and decking in the parking garage and stairwell areas. These areas are subjected to limited physical abuse and impact.The ability of BLAZE-SHIELD HP to resist these forces made it the product of choice.

CAFCO® FENDOLITE® M-II/TG was applied to wind-bracing that is exposed to public view and high volume maintenance traffic. A cement-based, high-density SFRM, FENDOLITE M-II/TG is specifically designed for areas where resistance to high amounts of impact and maintenance is of paramount importance.
