Toronto Pearson International Airport

The Toronto Pearson International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in all of Canada. CAFCO SprayFilm was selected due to its water-based formulation, extremely durable and decorative aesthetic, and ability to satisfy the hourly fire resistance rating requirements.

SEA-TAC International Airport

The design of SEA-TAC International Airport incorporates large, open, expansive floor plans in the atrium areas. Structural steel was left exposed and incorporated into the design of the atrium areas. CAFCO SprayFilm was applied to structural-steel columns in the large atrium portion of the building.

71 South Wacker, Chicago, IL

Designed by A. Epstein and Sons in conjunction with Pei Cobb Freed and Partners, this 1,850,000 sq. ft. 48-story office building is protected with Isolatek's CAFCO 300, CAFCO 400 and Fendolite M-II products. Isolatek provided a single-source for this project’s fire resistance needs.

South Milwaukee High School

Designed by the DLR Group, this 300,000 sq. ft. expansion included CAFCO BLAZE-SHIELD II, and CAFCO BLAZE-SHIELD HP Spray Applied Fire Resistive Materials. In addition, the designers used CAFCO Spray-Film -WB 3 to showcase the dramatic design and beauty of exposed steel.

55 M Street

Located in Downtown D.C. and designed by Davis Carter Scott Design (DCS Design), 55 M Street is a 378,000 sq. ft. office building. The designers used SprayFilm -WB 4 intumescent coating to make a dramatic statement with exposed steel; because of low VOC content and the water-based system, SprayFilm -WB 4 helped contribute to the overall sustainability of the LEED gold-certified project.

US Bank Tower - 621 Capitol Mall

Located in Sacramento, CA and designed by HO+K, 621 Capitol Mall encompasses 3 city blocks, including this 25-story, 680,000 sq. ft. office building. The specification used CAFCO 300 CAFCO 400 and FENDOLITE M-II in concealed applications, as well as CAFCO SprayFilm -WB 3 and WB 4 intumescent coatings because of the extensive use of transparent glass and exposed, structural steel.

488 Almaden

Korth Sunseri Hagey Architects, this 17-story, 440,017 sq. ft. tower in San Jose, CA. The designers specified CAFCO 300, CAFCO 400, and Fendolite M-II. CAFCO SprayFilm was used to meet needs of the exposed steel, providing a fresh clean look while also providing the required fire resistance rating.

Stevens Institute of Technology

Constructed by Terminal Construction Corp., the 95,000 sq. ft. Lawrence T. Babbio, Jr. Center for Technology Management is located on the campus of The Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. The design called for CAFCO SprayFilm –WB3 because it enabled the designer’s vision for exposed steel, and the low VOCs of the product limited any environmental impact.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport

Designed by PGAL Architecture, the George Bush Intercontinental Airport International Arrivals Building in Houston, TX is a 800,000 sq. ft. structure that can 4,500 international passengers per hour. The design included extensive use of exposed steel and CAFCO SprayFilm -WB 3 to achieve the required hourly ratings. The Spray-Film product line has also been extensively tested for blast resistance, making them the most durable water-based product available today.

Torre Mayor Tower

The tallest structure in all of Mexico, the Torre Mayor Tower combines impressive architectural design with state-of-the-art technology and construction materials. Isolatek International, the industry’s only single-source provider, with its complete line of CAFCO fire protection products, satisfied every demand required for this high profile project.

Introducing New SprayFilm -WB 5: the most advanced intumescent fireproofing

Breakthroughs in Thermal Performance make SprayFilm -WB 5 the most technologically advanced, UL-classified intumescent coating on the market. It achieves required fire resistive ratings using less material than other intumescent coatings—often times far less material depending on conditions.

Because it requires less material to achieve hourly ratings, SprayFilm -WB 5 has business and productivity advantages for fireproofing contractors, as well as aesthetic and cost advantages for architects who want to use more exposed steel in their designs. Read more about SprayFilm -WB 5.
